Smartup Academy: Young Talents Presented Their IT Projects

The social project Green White Solutions — Smartup Academy continues to develop and expand rapidly. In August, the training for the 2nd cohort was completed, during which over 34 participants gained knowledge in various IT fields, including web and mobile development, and mastered the basics of coding and scriptwriting. More details about the Academy can be found here.

Recently, the project defense for the latest cohort of Academy students took place. The best participants received well-deserved certificates for their achievements. The projects were evaluated by an expert panel consisting of teacher and specialist Otabek Toshkanov, project manager Nilufar Jumaeva, and a representative of Green White Solutions, Adham Toshkanov. All jury members noted the high level of preparation among the participants.

Following the defense of the graduation projects, certificates were awarded to Ominakhon Kosimova and Abdullokh Mirfaiziev, who demonstrated excellent results in programming.

Omina Kosimova, 20 years old, Smartup Academy student:
"Studying at the IT Academy gave me a lot. For example, the opportunity to learn from experienced teachers and gain knowledge that will truly be useful. I particularly remember the strict monitoring of progress — it made every student take responsibility and work hard. Completing the course was not easy: intermediate exams had to be passed, and only those who passed them successfully could continue their studies. For me, the most challenging part was the competition.

The teachers explained the material clearly and monitored each student's progress. Thanks to the Academy, I gained the basic knowledge in programming necessary to start a career."

The training at the Academy lasts nine months. The program combines theory and practice, allowing students to immediately apply the acquired knowledge in real projects. For many, this is a unique opportunity to learn from IT experts for free, especially for those coming from the regions, and this year there were ten such students. Upon completing the course, graduates can take university entrance exams or start a career in their chosen field.

Smartup Academy does not issue diplomas, but the main goal of the project is not that. The Academy is focused on transferring knowledge and developing skills among young people who see their future in the IT industry.

Project manager Nilufar Jumaeva shared:
"The interest in studying at Smartup Academy is enormous. For the latest cohort, we received about 1,000 applications, but only 34 people were selected. The learning process is very intensive: after each course, exams are held to select the best."
At the project defense, graduates Omina Kosimova and Abdullokh Mirfaiziev presented their news platform, which includes features such as blogging, commenting on publications, and subscribing to news channels. Their project represents a new direction for the media. Both participants confidently answered questions and demonstrated a deep understanding of the technologies, which impressed the experts.
After defending their projects, Kosimova and Mirfayziev received certificates confirming their successful completion of the course.

The Academy is not standing still — its doors are already open for a new intake of students. Ahead is work with talented guys who will continue to develop the digital future of Uzbekistan. After all, the main mission of Smartup Academy is to educate a new generation of IT professionals ready to change the world!
